Minister Of Social Affairs Risma, South Sumatra Baturaja Residents Protest! Their Names Are Missing In The KPM Program

SUMSEL - Hundreds of Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra (South Sumatra) protested because their names were missing from the list of Phase 4 Cash Social Assistance (BST) funds in 2021.

The residents protested by going directly to the local post office. In the January-February 2021 BST period, hundreds of residents who protested this still received BST.

"I still receive BST funds. However, the stage 3-4 disbursement is no longer," said Ita, a resident of Air Gading Village, West Baturaja District in Baturaja, as reported by Antara, Friday, April 16.

He admitted that he was shocked when he came to the payment counter at the Baturaja Post Office, because his name was removed from the list of beneficiaries of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Therefore, he and hundreds of other residents came to the relevant parties to question and at the same time ask for solutions to overcome the problem.

Responding to this, the Head of the Baturaja Post Office, Aldy Frandinca Renaldy, explained that there was indeed a reduction in the number of BST recipients at OKU Raya this year, which was 9,983 KPM.

In the disbursement of funds for the March-April 2021 period, it was recorded that only 38,077 KPM in OKU Raya, including the Main OKU, East OKU and South OKU disbursed BST funds at the Baturaja Post Office.

He explained that the number was reduced by 9,983 KPM when compared to the January-February 2021 period of 48,060 KPM in OKU Raya who received BST funds from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

This reduction occurred because there was duplicate data or KPM received other social assistance such as PKH, so that their names were deleted from the data on BST recipients. The details of beneficiaries in OKU Raya include 13,373 KPM Main OKU Regency, 4,273 KPM South OKU and 20,431 KPM East OKU.

"For more details, please ask the OKU Social Service," said Aldy.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Empowerment of the Poor at the Social Service of the OKU M Kholik separately explained that the BST funds were not received at this stage because there was an improvement in data on beneficiaries from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Apart from that, there are other factors, namely the address of the beneficiary when registering is different from the one shown on the Family Card or KTP.

"However, we will collect all reports from these residents and immediately submit them to the Ministry of Social Affairs. So, we will wait for the policies of the central government," he said.
