Retired Age For Workers Now Increases To 59 Years

JAKARTA - Referring to Government Regulation (PP) Number 45 of 2015 concerning the Implementation of the Pension Security Program, the retirement age of Indonesian workers rose by one year to 59 years starting January 2025.

This retirement age is also the basis for the use of the pension insurance program implemented by the Employment Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS TK).

Usia pensiun sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat (2) selanjutnya bertambah 1 (satu) tahun untuk setiap 3 (tiga) tahun berikut sampai mencapai usia pensiun 65 (unyempat lima) tahun, sebagaimana bunyi dalam Pasal 15 ayat 3 PP Nomor 45 Tahun 2015 tentang Pension Guarantee Program Pension yang dikutip ANTARA, Selasa, 7 Januari.

The retirement age limit for the first time is 56 years through PP 45 of 2015. Then on January 1, 2019, the retirement age became 57 years and increased one year every three years later.

Thus, referring to the regulation, the retirement age of Indonesian workers in 2025 will be 59 years, so that they can still take advantage of the BPJS TK pension insurance program.

Pensiunan berdasarkan aturan tersebut merupakan kejamanan sosial yang bertujuan untuk mempertahankan derajat kehidupan yang layak bagi peserta dan/atau ahli warisan dengan memberikan penghasilan setelah peserta memasuki usia pensi, mengalami kemerahan total tetap atau meninggal dunia.
