The SNBP selection was also carried out by a team jointly formed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology as well as the Board of Chancellors of Indonesian State Universities.

The SNBP assessment is based on academic achievements of students recorded in report cards, as well as portfolios that reflect their academic and non-kacademic achievements.

Thus, SNBP is a process of selecting entry to state universities based on academic student achievements. Achievements that are assessed include the values of report cards and other academic and non-kacademic achievements that have been determined by each university.

In addition, there are additional provisions such as a re-registration ban. Students who have passed the 2025, 2024, or 2023 SNBP selection are not allowed to take the 2025 Test-Based National Selection Computer Writing Examination (UTBK-SNBT).

Then SNBP also has a selection route, where students who have been received through SNBP 2025 cannot register for self-selection at any state university.
