The Palace Explains About There Is No Milk Menu In MBG Perdana In Bogor

BOGOR - Head of the Presidential Communication Office, Hasan Nasbi, explained about the absence of milk in the free nutritious food program menu (MBG) during the inaugural implementation in Bogor City, West Java, Monday.

"There is milk, but not every day, some once a week, some are twice a week. Our milk depends on its availability," Hasan Hasbi said after reviewing the inaugural implementation of the MBG at SDN Kedungbadak 1 Bogor City as reported by Antara, Monday, January 6.

The MBG program presents a different menu every day through the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in each region. Especially for milk, it will be provided at least once a week.

"Today at SPPG Cimahi I saw that there was milk. There is also milk here, but it happens that it doesn't exist. Every day the menu is different, so in one month it is at least once or twice a week there is milk," he explained.

The food menu at SDN Kedungbadak 1 Bogor City is provided by SPPG Tanahsareal with the initial menu of white rice, chicken eggs, carrots and broccoli, and bananas.

Hasan Nasbi said that MBG is also a momentum to educate children to be diligent in consuming vegetables. He was also impressed by the students of SDN Kedungbadak 1 Bogor City who were not allergic when presented a menu containing vegetables.

"I'm very happy that the 1st grade children have run out of vegetables, so there is already an education for children to be able to eat vegetables, so it's not just the protein they spend. In fact, what is feared so far the children have not been able to finish vegetables," said Hasan Nasbi.

Before seeing the implementation of MBG, he also visited the public kitchen of the Tanah Sareal Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), Bogor City, West Java at Denpal III/Bogor Field.

According to him, this SPPG has implemented good standards ranging from managing food, distributing, to paying attention to the benefits resulting from food management.

"There is no waste, until the management is considered by them. Even the waste in the SPPG has been separated, such as plastic waste, food waste, in the kitchen has been separated. Those who come out will not be a problem," he said.

MBG is a priority program for the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka ready to start at 190 points spread across 26 provinces.

Hasan said this was a historic milestone for the Indonesian people, which for the first time carried out a national-scale nutritional fulfillment program for toddlers, school children, students, pregnant women, and breastfeeding.

He revealed information from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), it was recorded that 190 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) or the MBG Kitchen had been operating.

The kitchens are spread across 26 provinces, starting from Aceh, Bali, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, Riau Islands, Riau, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, DI Yogyakarta, Gorontalo.

Furthermore, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Maluku, North Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, to West Papua and South Papua.

Each MBG Kitchen is managed by a head of the SPPG who is appointed directly by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). The head of this SPPG is working with a nutritionist and an accountant to ensure strict supervision of the quality of nutrition and smooth distribution of food.

In addition to ensuring nutritional adequacy in each portion of MBG, SPPG is also tasked with closely supervising hygiene standards, nutrition management, and waste treatment in each MBG Kitchen.
