List of Innocent People Becoming Victims of the KKB Terror in Papua

JAKARTA - The armed criminal group (KKB) continues to spread terror in Papua. A series of innocent people were killed by the group.

The first victim in the group's terror was Oktovianus Rayo. He is a teacher and trader. He was shot twice by Sabinus Waker's group on April 8, at around 09.30 WIT in Julukoma Village, Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua.

Not long ago, the KKB was acting up again. They burned four educational buildings. It was recorded that three schools were burned down and one teacher's house.

Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, said that the three schools that were burned were Elementary School, Middle School, and High School.

"Four buildings burned down Jambul Elementary School, State Middle School 1, Beoga 1 High School, and the teacher's house", said Kombes Kamal.

Based on explicative the witness, this burning happened on Thursday, April 8 at around 18:15 WIT. The perpetrators are still the same.

A day later, the shooting occurred again. The victim was named Yonatan Renden. He is a teacher at Beoga State Middle School.

The shooting started when Yonatan Renden was riding a motorcycle with the principal. They were looking for a tarpaulin to cover the body of teacher Oktovianus Rayo, who died as a result of being shot by KKB.

Arriving at the end of the airport, KKB shot them twice. They tried to escape by driving their vehicle towards Ongolan Village.

Likely, Yonathan Renden was hit by a shot. He died in front of the principal's house, in Ongolan Village.

In fact, the KKB's terror did not stop there. A resident in Eromaga Village, Omukia District, Puncak Regency, Papua was the victim of the shooting of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). This group shot Udin, who was a motorcycle taxi driver, to death.

"At 13:20 WIT, the initial information was that there had been a murder of a motorcycle taxi driver in Eromaga Village, and the perpetrator was clearly KKB", said Head of the Nemangkawi Operations Public Relations Task Force Kombes Iqbal Alqudussy in a written statement, Wednesday, April 14.

Udin died on the spot after being shot twice and one of the bullets hit his chest and penetrated his back. At that time, the TNI-Police immediately evacuated to the nearest public health center.

"Meanwhile the perpetrators fled into the forest", said Iqbal.

He has not specified the chronology and motive for this event. This includes detailing the identities of the KKB members who shot Udin.

This incident was also confirmed by Head of Information Kogabwilhan III Colonel Czi IGN Suriastawa.

"Yes, this is the savagery of the OPM Armed Front, always carrying out acts of terror against the community. After killing teachers, burning schools and helicopters, now they are killing immigrants", he said.

Suriastawa said that currently the TNI and Police had taken measured steps over the series of shooting incidents. He also advised the public to remain vigilant and not easily provoked fake news that always spread through social media.

Because it is not impossible that this incident was supported by OPM supporters and accused the victim of being a spy for the authorities.

"That's how their three Fronts work together. In the media they take advantage of influencers who have many followers, supported by their pro media", he concluded.
