JAKARTA - The Environmental Service (DLH) of Tangerang City, Banten, has alerted a number of cleaners in various strategic locations to prevent a buildup of waste during New Year's Eve celebrations.

The head of DLH Tangerang City, Wawan Fauzi, revealed several points that are predicted to be crowded with visitors including Electric Park, Gerendeng Bridge, Tangerang City Square, Cibodas Square, Tangcity Mall, Pasar Lama Culinary Area, and CBD Mall Ciledug.

"We are preparing cleaning staff at these locations to ensure that people who celebrate the new year maintain cleanliness by disposing of garbage in the places provided," explained Wawan in Tangerang, Monday, as quoted by ANTARA.

On New Year's Eve, the Tangerang City DLH deployed 150 cleaners, 12 garbage transport fleets, and 25 motorized tricycles (bentors) stationed in crowded centers.

"Officers will be tasked with cleaning up scattered garbage, while ensuring the cleanliness of public facilities is maintained," he added.

The Tangerang City Government also hopes that the presence of special janitors in public areas can ensure the comfort and cleanliness of the environment during the New Year celebrations.

"We continue to urge the public to keep the city clean, even though it is celebrating the New Year's Eve," Wawan concluded.
