President Prabowo Encourages The National Team Against Laos, Must Win

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto encouraged the Indonesian National Football Team to face the Laos national team in the 2024 ASEAN Cup Group B preliminary round match at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Thursday night.

"Yes. You have to, you have to win," Prabowo said when asked about the Indonesian national team as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 12.

The Indonesian national team match, led by coach Shin Tae-yong, will be held at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, at 20.00 WIB.

In this match, it is believed that Indonesia has ambitions to continue the positive trend after previously being able to get three points when beating Myanmar 1-0 in Yangon.

If they manage to secure three points in the match against Laos, that victory will be an important asset for Indonesia, which will then play a tough party against Vietnam in Hanoi, Sunday (15/12).

The Indonesian national team has the opportunity to continue their positive trend when facing Laos and maintaining their position in the top two positions in Group B of the 2024 AFF Cup standings.

Currently, Indonesia is in second place in Group B standings with three points from one match, losing the goal difference with Vietnam in first place.

In addition to aiming for full points, the Indonesian national team also had a chance to add to their goal record after in the first match they were only able to win with a score of 1-0 over Myanmar.
