JAKARTA The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of fraud in the process of rejuvenation of ships acquired by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) from PT Jembatan Nusantara. On Tuesday, December 10, the KPK examined two witnesses related to this case.

"The two witnesses were present, and investigators studied the repair of the ship belonging to PT JN (Nusantara Bridge) which was acquired by ASDP," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika in a written statement, Wednesday, December 11. The two witnesses examined were Abdul Honi, Head of the PT PAL Indonesia Repair and Maintenance Division, and Diana Rosa, Director of PT Industri Kapal Indonesia. However, Tessa did not explain in detail about the rejuvenation process.

Currently, the KPK is investigating cases of alleged corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). The state losses in this case are estimated at IDR 1.27 trillion, although this figure can still change because the calculation process continues.

Based on the information gathered, this loss arose because the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara was allegedly not in accordance with the regulations. PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with an acquisition value of IDR 1.3 trillion. After the acquisition, PT ASDP controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara's shares along with 53 ships managed by the company.

"The process of implementing business cooperation and acquisition does not have a clear legal basis," said one source.

In this case, the KPK has named four suspects, although their identities have not been officially announced. They are the President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi; Harry MAC as Director of Planning and Development; Yusuf Hadi who serves as Director of Commercial and Services; and Adjie, owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.

The KPK has also confiscated 15 land and building assets belonging to Adjie with a value of hundreds of billions of rupiah. The assets are located in strategic areas such as Pondok Indah, Menteng, Bogor City, and Surabaya City.
