KPK Refuses To Speculate On Leaking Search Info At PT Jhonlin Baratama

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is reluctant to speculate about the leak of internal information related to the search at the Office of PT Jhonlin Baratama.

This was conveyed by Acting Kpk Spokesman for Enforcement Ali Fikri in response to the polemic of the investigation of corruption cases that occurred in the Directorate General of Taxation.

"We do not want to speculate on the opinion of the leak of such activities," Ali said in a written statement on Tuesday, April 13.

In addition, he also ensured that the search did not get any obstacles. Moreover, this investigation process has been authorized by the KPK Supervisory Board.

"KPK ensures that the search permit application process has been carried out in accordance with applicable mechanisms. So far, the mechanism of the search permit administration process is also no constraints from dewas," he said.

Although reluctant to speculate, however, kpk still insists anyone who deliberately obstructs the investigation process by moving evidence will certainly be handled. Kpk asked all parties to be cooperative and not to obstruct this investigation process.

"We remind anyone who deliberately obstructs the investigation by among others suspected of transferring the necessary evidence in this investigation process we do not hesitate to apply the provisions of Article 21 of the Tipikor Law," said Ali.

"At this time we will continue to complete the investigation of this alleged corruption and invite the public to take control of the process," he added.

Previously reported, KPK suspects there are documents that were rushed by truck. The reason, KPK did not find evidence when conducting a search related to alleged corruption in the Directorate General of Taxation, one of them in the office of PT Jhonlin Baratama.

Later, from public reports it is known that there is a truck that is suspected of carrying evidence. The truck was found in Hampang Subdistrict, Kota Baru Regency, South Kalimantan.

It's just that this truck has moved location so kpk is currently continuing to conduct searches.
