Hakordia 2024, MPR Chair Reminds Officials Not To Make Theirselves And Institutions Involved In Corruption Practices

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Ahmad Muzani gave a special message on World Anti-Corruption Day or Hakordia 2024 which is commemorated today. Muzani emphasized that every officer in Indonesia must advise him not to be involved in any corrupt practices, including his institution.

"This morning (I) attended World Anti-Corruption Day, I hope today is a day in which every Indonesian person, every Indonesian official intends to seriously make himself, personally, private, private, who intends to avoid acts of corruption, keeps away from acts of corruption, intends not to make himself and his institution involved in corrupt practices," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, December 9.

According to him, the intention must be announced by the apparatus and their institutions in line with President Prabowo Subianto's intention to eradicate corruption from Indonesian soil.

"This intention must at least be announced, and hopefully if we pay attention to President Prabowo's speech since the inauguration, cabinet briefings, other speeches are consistent, parallel and firm all that eradicating corruption is the main agenda of the Prabowo-Gibran government in the Red and White Cabinet," said the Secretary General of Gerindra.

"So on the one hand, the spirit to grow the economy towards 8 percent is driven, on the other hand, obstacles that can be a disruptive factor for the economy to be eradicated, including eradicating corruption," he continued.

Muzani assessed that eradicating corruption was a comprehensive action taken by President Prabowo. So that the direction towards a healthy and stronger nation will be realized.

"We feel that what the government is doing, the direction and goal are towards the right rails. Hopefully this is a way to direct our control towards a stronger nation than today," he concluded.
