The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Cianjur Regency reported the latest data regarding the impact of natural disasters which include landslides, floods, and landslides in the southern region of Cianjur. Head of BPBD Cianjur Asep Kusmana Wijaya said there were 2,760 people affected by the disaster in 18 sub-districts. Meanwhile, the number of refugees reached 777 people in nine sub-districts.

"Most residents fled to relatives' homes, village halls, and posyandu which were considered safe from the threat of disaster," he explained.

BPBD noted that 439 houses were damaged, 357 houses were threatened, and 484 houses were flooded. Meanwhile, data on educational facilities are still coordinating with the Cianjur Education, Youth and Sports Office (Disdikpora).

"For affected houses, data collection is still being carried out by the Housing and Settlement Areas (Perkim) Office. Currently, residents whose houses were flooded a few days ago have returned to clean their houses," he said.

Until now, the Cianjur BPBD together with related agencies continue to make handling efforts, including providing logistical assistance and ensuring the safety of residents in affected locations.
