JAKARTA - One of the three convicted of illegal collection (pungli) assistance funds for the rehabilitation of mosques after the Lombok earthquake 2018 then handed over rp200 million to the State Prosecutor (Kejari) Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Head of Kejari Mataram Yusuf said that the handover of money came from convicted Silmi through the family with the assistance of legal counsel.

"Yes so it is true there is a handover of Rp200 million from convicted Silmi. The money is to pay criminal fines according to the order in the verdict of the injunction concerned," yusuf said in Mataram reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 13.

With the payment of criminal fines, explained Yusuf, convicted Silmi is no longer charged to serve an additional six months of confinement. The confinement is in accordance with the subsiders in the criminal penalty penalty.

"Because the fine has been paid everything, Silmi only carries out the basic criminal. He is no longer charged for undergoing subsidies," he said.

Convicted Silmi was dragged into this case while still serving as Head of The Subdivision of Organization and Governance (Ortala) and Staffing of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs ntb.

In his cassation verdict, convicted Silmi proved to be the brains of the pungli action of the lombok post-earthquake mosque rehabilitation assistance fund in 2018.

His role was proven to order Ikbaludin, staff of TU Kemenag West Lombok and then Basuki Rahman, staff of Gunung Sari Religious Affairs Office (KUA), to make withdrawals to a number of mosques receiving assistance.

With this order, Basuki as the executor of the field was then netted in the hand-catching operation (OTT) of Mataram Police. He was shown to cut the aid allowance by 30 percent.

From the withdrawal, Lalu Basuki has a chain relationship with convicted Silmi through the receipt of deposits derived from convicted Ikbaludin. In his two acceptance periods, convicted Silmi was shown to pocket money from pungli worth Rp55 million.

Therefore, silmi's convicted in his cassation verdict which has now been legally enforced remains sentenced to four years imprisonment and a fine of Rp200 million subsider six months of confinement.
