JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on today's agenda is scheduled to visit Sukabumi Regency, West Java, Friday, December 6, to inspect areas affected by land movement in Cikembar District.

In today's agenda, Gibran is planned to visit the evacuation site and provide assistance from the central government to victims of natural disasters who are struggling in the midst of an emergency situation.

It is known that hydrometeorological disasters in the form of high-intensity rain since Tuesday, December 3, have triggered floods, landslides, and ground movement in various areas in Sukabumi Regency. The Sukabumi Regency Government has set a disaster alert status. Until now, as many as 34 sub-districts have been affected by the disaster.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sukabumi Regency in a temporary report on Thursday, until 12.00 WIB noted that there were 66 landslide points, 35 flood points, and 17 ground movement points.

As a result of this disaster, 180 families (KK) or 461 people were affected, while 96 families or 247 people were forced to flee. In addition, it was recorded that two people died, and six other victims were still being searched.

Damage to this disaster is also quite significant. A total of 98 houses were damaged, consisting of 85 lightly damaged, 12 moderately damaged, and 15 heavily damaged. In addition, as many as 90 houses were threatened, 455 houses were submerged, 21 public infrastructure buildings were threatened, and 34 hectares were affected by the disaster.
