Commitment Of Elected KPK Chair Setyo Budiyanto: Reactivate The Leadership Collective System

JAKARTA - The elected chairman of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto, is committed to reactivate the collegial collective system between KPK leaders. This was said by Setyo after evaluating the performance of the previous leadership, which had been considered problematic so far.

"I will reactivate the collegial collective system of five leaders, including the issue of vision and mission," said Setyo at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, December 5.

According to Setyo, the vision and mission of 5 prospective KPK leaders for the period 2024-2029 must be uniformed so that there will be cohesiveness between KPK leaders. However, he did not explain what kind of vision and mission needed to be equalized.

"The vision and mission is not my vision and mission, not Mr. JT (Johanis Tanak)'s vision and mission, not the vision and mission of AJP (Agus Joko Pramono), Mr. Ibnu (Basuki) or Pak Fitroh (Rohcahyanto), but the vision and mission of the five," he said.

"Therefore, what was done by the previous leadership, which is good, we will definitely continue, what is not certain will be evaluated, and then as material for improvement. With the hope that if something is lacking we will improve again," continued Setyo.

The improvement step, added Setyo, is to restore public trust in anti-corruption agencies. Especially to revive the collegial collective system and build cohesiveness in the leadership.

"Yes, that's what we will do later together with other friends, other leaders, so that the language is the same, so this collegial collective will really be done so that it is compact, the leadership is really solid, and that's what we will do," said Setyo.

"We ask for the support of the entire community, hopefully this 2024-2029 leader can really restore the dignity of the KPK," he concluded.
