Sunday Market Inpres Fire, Fire Spread To Block C Area

JAKARTA - Fires are still occurring in Pasar Inpres Pasar Minggu Village, Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta.

Public Relations Of The Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) DKI Jakarta Mulat Wijayanto said the fire point is located in Block C of Pasar Inpres.

"Currently, there is still continued handling in the area of Block C of Pasar Inpres, where the fire has spread in the area," Mulat told reporters on Monday, April 12.

Mulat explained that the fire initially occurred around 6:29 p.m. The fire is thought to have originated from the basement of the market located on Pasar Minggu Street.

The fire team then went straight to the market and arrived at 6:35 p.m. or about five minutes after the report was received.

"The South Jakarta Gulkarmat Service Tribe deployed 30 units of pump cars and 129 personnel to put out the fire," he said.

Until now, officers are still trying to extinguish the red master. Officials also do not yet know the cause of the market fire.
