Sukabumi General Election Commission Ensures No Re-voting For The 2024 Regional Head Election

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Sukabumi City has ensured that there will be no re-voting in the 2024 Pilkada due to the voting process and vote count process on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, running smoothly, safely, orderly and no problems were found.

"All polling groups (KPPS) carry out their duties well, therefore we make sure that in Sukabumi City there will be no re-voting," said Sukabumi City KPU Socialization, Voter Education and Community Participation Division Sukabumi Seni Soniasih, quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, December 1, 2024.

According to Art, the process of returning the ballot boxes from 999 polling stations (TPS) by the KPPS to the sub-district collection committee (PPK) also went smoothly and safely because they were escorted by joint security forces from elements of the TNI, Polri and the Linmas Unit.

After the polling and vote counting stages at the TPS level were over, when the PPK was carrying out the stage of vote counting at the sub-district level. Where the open plenary meeting of the recapitulation of the PPK level votes was held in seven sub-districts on Saturday starting at 08.00 WIB until it was finished.

After the recapitulation of the sub-district-level sound, the next stage is the recapitulation of the Sukabumi City KPU-level sound whose implementation will be carried out in the near future.

"We appeal to the public, especially the pairs of candidates for regional heads and teams, to succeed in restraining themselves and not carrying out actions or activities that could damage the quality of the regional elections in Sukabumi City," he added.

Art appealed that if there was a candidate pair for regional head or a successful team who did not accept the election results or there was a dispute, they could file a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court (MK) and not take actions that interfere with the conducive regional situation.
