JAKARTA - Democratic Party spokesman Moeldoko Muhammad Rahmad said his party and the party's founder rejected the efforts of The Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) to register the Democrats as Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI) on behalf of the personal.

Rahmad claimed to have received an open letter from one of the party's founders on behalf of Wisnu Herryanto Krestowo to The Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly who asked the Directorate General of Intellectual Property kemenkumham to reject SBY's application.

According to Rahmad, the letter from Vishnu further confirms that SBY secretly wanted to seize ownership of the Democratic Party into his private property.

"We, together with the founders of the party and the people who support the Democratic Party, strongly condemn SBY's silent efforts that ignore the values of moral values, ethics and integrity," Rahmad said in a press statement received on Monday, April 12.

Rahmad stressed that the Democratic Party was founded by 99 people in 2001 and has a deed of establishment recorded in a notary public as an official state document. The democratic name actually belongs to the Democratic Party that will be passed down through generations to the next generation in the party.

"Not necessarily the name and logo or flag of the Democratic Party are registered to private property. For the founders of the Democratic Party, this silent effort is similar to milk in reply to tubal water," he continued.

Rahmad revealed, in an open letter obtained by his party, Wisnu asked the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Kemenkumham rejected SBY's application.

"I ask with respect for justice and truth, so that the Directorate General of Ki Kemenkumham firmly rejects the submission of Copyright and Intellectual Property by SBY's brother on behalf of / logo / emblem of the Democratic Party as his personal property, because the Democrats as an open party has become the property of the nation and the state," Wisnu said in the letter.

He and Vence Rumangkang and Kurdi Mustofa were the parties that initiated the founding of the Democrats in 2001. The idea of the establishment came about after SBY failed to be elected as vice president at the Special Session of the People's Consultative Assembly.

Wisnu also claimed to be the party that designed and created the red and white triangular star, the Democratic logo. In the letter, Wisnu also stated that SBY is not included in the list of democratic founders.

"Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's brother de facto and de jure is not the founder of the Democratic Party that we gagas and founded 20 years ago," he said.

According to him, SBY has been only a user of the Democratic Party. He also accused SBY of depriving the party.

"Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is not the founder, but only as a user of the Democratic Party which then with cunning and lies has robbed the party that we founded 20 years ago from the cadres as stakeholders, to build a political oligarchy based on dynasty and nepotism," he said.

Previously, SBY registered the Democratic Party as a human rights to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) on March 19.
