Gerindra Confident Jakarta Election Will Run in 2 Rounds Despite Still Waiting for KPU's Real Count

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party believes that the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will take place in two rounds. This is based on the results of a quick calculation which shows that there are no cagub and cawagub Jakarta pairs that have received votes above 50 percent.

"Two rounds, indeed two rounds," said Gerindra Deputy Head Habiburokhman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, November 28.

Even so, the party chaired by Prabowo Subianto is still waiting for the official results or the KPU's real count on December 16-18.

"So if the Jakarta Pilkada we are also waiting for the calculation of the real count from the KPU, although then it has been announced internally by the team leader from the RIDO candidate pair, Pak Ariza Patria has announced that the internal calculations calculated will most likely occur in two rounds," continued the Daily Chair of the Gerindra DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad on the same occasion.

Dasco said the candidate pair winning team number 01, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, had prepared a strategy in the second round after evaluating the results of the first round of Pilkada.

Meanwhile, the Ridwan-Suswono candidate pair is in second place with an average of 39 percent of the votes, and the average Dharma-Kun candidate pair reaches 10 percent.
