Acting Governor Of West Java Uses Selection Rights In Banten

Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, use the right to vote in Banten (doc. West Java Provincial Government).

JAKARTA - The Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, did not channel his voting rights in the Simultaneous Pilkada of West Java, but in Banten on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Bey Machmudin said he would not channel voting rights such as the 2024 Presidential Election, where he channeled voting rights at polling stations located in the Garut Street area, Bandung City.

According to him, this time he will choose the Candidate for Governor and Candidate for Deputy Governor of Banten as well as Candidates for Mayor and Candidate for Deputy City of South Tangerang.

"My KTP is Banten," said Bey Machmudin in a statement on the West Java Provincial Government website.

Bey said he would channel his voting rights according to domicile in South Tangerang.

Then after voting, he will return to Bandung to monitor the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections in West Java.

"Beres nullos saya langsung ke Jabar," katanya.

Yesterday, November 26, 2024, the Bey marathon monitored the preparations for the vote at several points of polling stations (TPS) in Bandung City, Garut Regency, and Bogor Regency.

Bey is optimistic that the West Java Pilkada will be a successful example of the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada which is safe, fair, and democratic.

"We make sure that the Pilkada in West Java takes place honestly, transparently, fairly, and peacefully. This is our shared responsibility," he said.
