Suswono emphasized that even though he was nominated as deputy governor of Jakarta, he did not abandon his right to vote in Bogor, according to his identity card.
"Of course I became a resident of Jakarta in 1984. Then because I became a lecturer in Bogor, I moved to Bogor. Then when I became a member of the DPR and a minister for 10 years, I practically also became a resident of Jakarta. After I was no longer a minister, I then returned to the city of Bogor," he said.
"But of course, I'm practically in Jakarta every day because Bogor is just for staying overnight, sleeping at night. So practically, my daily activities are in Jakarta. Of course, because of the regulations where the domicile is that then gets the right to vote, then of course I get the right to vote in the city of Bogor and West Java Province," he continued.
"The nomination as governor, regent, or mayor is all Indonesian citizens have the right to be nominated anywhere," he added.
After voting, Suswono plans to monitor the quick count results with the RIDO Winning Team at the Sultan Hotel. The event is scheduled to take place behind closed doors.
