Happy After Voting, AHY Sends a Message to the Candidate Pair Who Won the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) finished exercising his right to vote at the polling station (TPS) TPS 28, Cipete Utara Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 27.

With a cheerful expression, AHY showed off his right little finger that had been dipped in purple ink.

AHY advised that whoever the gubernatorial candidate pair wins in the 2024 Pilkada contestation can focus on realizing all the programs contained in their campaign promises.

"Of course, to whoever gets the mandate from the people, we pray for the best. Can really focus on realizing the programs, including the campaign promises that have been conveyed," AHY told reporters.

AHY considered that the problems in Jakarta are too complex, both economically, politically and socially.

"I myself continue to follow the development of Jakarta with its various challenges, both economically, politically, socially. In fact, we know that Jakarta is also vulnerable to natural disasters," he said.

The Democratic Party chairman also highlighted one of the main problems in North Jakarta, namely tidal flooding. According to AHY, whoever wins the 2024 simultaneous Pilkada contest must have a breakthrough to overcome this problem.

"We all know that Jakarta is a large, dense and complex metropolitan city, so it needs a capable leader who has innovation and breakthroughs and also continues to love his people," he said.

Therefore, AHY continued, full support from the entire community is needed to be able to overcome all the problems in Jakarta.

"Because the leader needs support from all the people and all elements in the area. Including in Jakarta," he said.

The DKI KPU has determined the permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 Pilkada as many as 8,214,007 voters. Of this number, the largest DPT is in East Jakarta with 2,374,828, followed by West Jakarta with 1,909,774, then South Jakarta (1,748,961), North Jakarta (1,345,815), Central Jakarta (813,721) and the Seribu Islands with 20,908 people.
