JAKARTA - A man with the initials M (25) was taken to a police station after being caught peeking at women bathing in Gunung Mas, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan). The case was reportedly the victim's in-laws.

The victim's father-in-law AJ (42) reported M peeking at his son-in-law while taking a shower. M was immediately taken to Mapolsek Kurun, Gunung Mas, Kalteng.

"The perpetrator admitted his actions and apologized and promised not to interfere with his actions," Brigdair Bedi was quoted as saying by the Public Relations Statement of Kalteng Police, Monday, April 12.

Eventually the police mediated the case by calling the victim. The two reconciled, but the perpetrators were subject to customary sanctions.

"This incident we managed mediation and both sides agreed to be resolved by family and the perpetrators will be subject to customary law in the form of Jipen or customary fines in accordance with dayak ngaju customary regulations," said Brigadier Bedi.
