JAKARTA - The Israeli military warned of an increasing level of rocket fire on Israel from Lebanon, ahead of a cabinet meeting to discuss a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah today.

Israel's military Interior Front Command updated its defense guidelines on Monday night.

"As part of the change, the scale of activity in the confrontation line, North Golan and South Golan will change from partial activity to limited activity," the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said.

The Israeli cabinet will vote on a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told CNN.

The US-backed proposal aims to achieve a 60-day cessation of hostilities which is expected to form the basis for a lasting ceasefire.

The spokesman did not explain the details of the potential agreement.

Sementara sumber mengatakan Netanyahu menyetujui rencana tersebut secara prinsip.

But US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said although significant progress had been made in negotiations, "Nothing was final until it was all final."

On Monday evening, a Lebanese official familiar with the discussions said the ceasefire was expected to be announced "within 24 hours."
