East Jakarta Metro Police conducted sweeps of residents' brawls in two sub-districts Pulogadung and Duren Sawit sub-districts on Friday, November 22, evening.

"Today we are sweeping sharp weapons," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, Friday, November 22, evening.

The operation to arrest the brawlers was carried out by sweeping in a large-scale scheme.

As many as hundreds of joint members of the National Police from a number of units were deployed to the points of the mass pockets of the brawlers.

"Sweeping is carried out in four urban villages, namely Kebon Singkong (Bosi), Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara Kaum and Cipinang Jagal sub-districts," he said.

From VOI's observation, until 20.30 WIB, the East Jakarta Metro Police and the Metro Jaya Police Mobile Brigade were still holding an apple at the Pulogadung Police Station.

Later the officers will be divided into several sweeping teams to arrest the perpetrators of the brawl.

This large-scale operation is the aftermath of a bloody brawl between residents of Kebon Singkong (Bonsi) and residents of Cipinang Jagal.

The impact of this series of brawls has reached the lives of 2 Cipinang Jagal residents and 4 Cipinang Jagal residents have been critical due to a brawl this week.
