Transgender Isa Zega Reported To Police After Umrah Worship Content

JAKARTA The transgender celebrity Isa Zega was reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police (Jaksel) on suspicion of blasphemy.

Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Nurma Dewi, said that Isa Zega was reported by a man with the initials HK accompanied by his attorney, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

"Yes, that's right yesterday, a man with the initials HK came, yesterday accompanied by his lawyer to the South Jakarta Police. What was reported was (alleged) blasphemy," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday, November 21.

"Article suspected of Article 156 concerning blasphemy, with a threat of 5 years at the longest, then also Article ITE ARTICLE 45 with a threat of 6 years," he continued.

Nurma said the evidence attached by the reporter was evidence of Isa Zega's content wearing Muslim clothes during Umrah worship.

"The existing content (social media)," said Nurma without explaining in more detail.

He confirmed that Isa Zega would be summoned. However, for the time being, Nurma has not been able to convey it, because that is the authority of the investigation.

The police report was received, then it was stepped on and invited for clarification. What is clear is that we ask what is known by what we are calling," he concluded.
