KAI Says There Was No Disturbance In Train Travel When Residents' Clashes Occurred On The Train Line

JAKARTA - The brawl between two groups of residents on the border of the Duren Sawit and Pulogadung areas, East Jakarta also utilizes the Klender railway line (KA) in the Klender area as the brawl arena on Thursday, November 21, at dawn.

The reason is that in the railway line, the brawlers can easily reach the stones on the railroad tracks to throw stones at their enemies.

The perpetrators of the brawl from the direction of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung carried out attacks on residents of Kebon Singkong crossing the railway line without a barrier wall. A number of residents can freely access the railway line.

As a result, many rocks from the railroad tracks were scattered on two sections of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Duren Sawit. The stones came from a throw by residents of Cipinang Jagal.

The brawl on the Klender train line occurred during the commuter line and long-distance train hours operating.

Ixfan said that the general public is prohibited from being on the railway line. Violators can be subject to sanctions.

"The rules are that everyone is prohibited from being in the area of the train lane, apart from officers who carry out infrastructure maintenance," he said.

Ixfan appealed to KAI Daop 1 Jakarta to prohibit people who are not KAI officers from being and active in the railway line for mutual safety and security.

In accordance with Law Number 23 of 2007 concerning Railways Article 181 paragraph (1) "that everyone is prohibited from being in the benefit space of the railway line; dragging, mobilizing, placing, or moving goods on the rails or crossing railroad lines; or using railroad lines for other purposes, other than for rail transportation."

"We urge the public not to carry out activities around the railway line area. If people see a potential danger or suspicious activity on the railway line, they can report it to the nearest station officer," he said.

Previously, a resident of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung, was found dead by a train while carrying out a brawl on the railway line, Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, East Jakarta, Sunday, November 10.

The death toll was hit by a train during the brawl.

"There was one teenager, a resident of Jagal Village, Jati Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, who was hit by a train. Victim of MD (up to the world)," said Duren Sawit Police Chief AKP Sutikno when confirmed, Sunday, November 10.

Sutikno explained that the brawl between residents of Jagal, Pulogadung, and Cipinang Muara, East Jakarta.
