TANGERANG - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) has spoken out regarding the case of mistreatment of a 9-year-old boy with the initials MR who was allegedly abused by four people in Kronjo, Tangerang Regency, last Saturday, November 16, 2024.
KPAI commissioner, Diyah Puspitarini said he would encourage the police to thoroughly investigate the case of a boy being electrocuted and forced to drink alcohol by the perpetrators.
"I hope that there will be an investigation of this case, and immediately reach the child who is a victim so that he can get assistance immediately. And if this child is indeed ordered, then he must also be investigated and ordered," said Diyah when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, November 20.
Diyah assessed that even though the victim did the wrong thing, the adults should not vent their emotions in a way that is quite sadistic.
Adults sometimes commit violence because of the form of emotional outlets, anger over children's behavior and occurs, it can be planned or not. But no form of violence against children is justified," he said.
"Moreover, adults have more power to do things to children," he added.
Therefore, he once again emphasized to the police to investigate thoroughly, so that they knew the child's motive for the theft or someone told him.
