2,811 Joint Personnel Perform Indonesian Vs Arab Match Security In SUGBK

A total of 2,811 joint personnel were deployed to secure the Indonesian national team football match against Saudi Arabia in the continued match of Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian zone, at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) Jakarta, Tuesday, November 19.

"Polda Metro Jaya has alerted 2,811 joint personnel to secure Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia football matches," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, Tuesday, November 19.

He said the thousands of personnel deployed consisted of Polda Metro Jaya personnel, Central Jakarta Metro Police, TNI personnel, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and other related parties. Later they will be placed at several SUGBK points.

"We urge all parties to maintain security and order at the location of the match," he said.

He also hopes that the supporters of the Indonesian national team who are present can keep the atmosphere in SUGBK conducive.

"We hope that the supporters remain polite and there will be no anarchism or destruction of public facilities," he added.

Traffic arrangements will be situational around the Senayan area. He appealed to find alternative routes and avoid the GBK area during the match.

Security forces will take firm action against spectators who carry firecrackers, flares, or fireworks.
