East Java Police Affirms No Role In Replacement Of Angry Entrepreneurs Asking Substitute Students To Bark

Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, emphasized that there was no substitute role for the suspect in bullying against Christian high school student Gloria 2 Surabaya with the initials IV who was arrested at Juanda Airport, Sidoarjo, Thursday (14/11).

"Yesterday it was true that the person concerned (suspect IV) was arrested at Juanda Airport and there was no substitute role," said Kombes Dirmanto as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 15.

Dirmanto emphasized that suspect IV has now been detained at the Surabaya Police Detention Center for further legal proceedings.

The police appealed to the public not to be easily influenced by rumors that were not true.

Dirmanto emphasized that the suspect's arrival process until he was detained at the Surabaya Police Station was also witnessed by dozens of media crews.

"The arrival of the suspect who was picked up by the Surabaya Police Satreskrim official car was also witnessed by dozens of media colleagues," he said.

All journalists, he continued, were also allowed to take photos and videos of the suspect getting out of the car and then entering to be questioned at the Criminal Investigation Unit for the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) of the Surabaya Police.

"It is clear that the suspect was arrested with our hands in handcuffs, starting to get off the car of the Surabaya Police Satreskrim until he was tolerated into the investigator's room," he said.

Regarding Netizens' tweets on social media X (Twitter) who doubted whether the person arrested was really Iv or not, Dirmanto reiterated and confirmed that the suspect arrested was indeed IV and there was no substitute role or engineering of officers.

"The task of the police is to take legal action, and we have carried it out by watching it directly by the public and media crews in the field," he said.
