JAKARTA - A fire has hit a nursing home in the city of Villafranca del Ebro in northern Spain. 10 people have been reported dead.
The fire broke out at a seniors' residence called "Jardines de Villafranca" at around 5 a.m. on Friday, November 15 local time.
It took several hours for firefighters to extinguish it, a regional government spokesman was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Authorities have not been able to detail whether all the victims were residents of the nursing home that houses 82 seniors.
One person is in critical condition, while several people are being treated for smoke inhalation.
