JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto made a phone call with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to discuss the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Indonesia, on the sidelines of the Indonesia AI Day event in South Jakarta.

"I want you as an important participant in our future, and I am aware of the extraordinary influence of AI and all the possibilities studied," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 14.

The conversation between the two took place in the middle of a talk session between Huang and SOE Minister Erick Thohir and GoTo CEO Patrick Walujo.

In the phone call, Huang initially offered his condolences for the victims of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Huang then emphasized the importance of utilizing AI technology for Indonesia as a step for the advancement of industry and society. He stated that his party is ready to collaborate to advance AI in various sectors in the country.

"So, it's a great honor for me to be here and start our partnerships and partnerships with your country," Huang said.

President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for Huang's attention and support for the natural disaster that occurred in Indonesia.
