KPU Calls Phase Two Of The Regional Head Election Logistics Distribution Reaches 98.63 Percent

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifuddin revealed that the second phase of distribution of election logistics to be used in the 2024 simultaneous regional elections has reached 98.63 percent.

"Overall, all production has 98.63 percent and delivery has reached 84 percent. This is for the second phase of production," Afifuddin quoted Antara as saying.

He also detailed that the need for one million ballot booths has been 100 percent distributed. This is followed by the acceptance process in each region which is also 100 percent.

Then, the procurement and acceptance of the needs of five million ICT cables has also been 100 percent. The procurement of ink and shipments has been carried out 100 percent.

Furthermore, the ballot boxes, procurement and delivery have been carried out 100 percent. The seal procurement was reached 100 percent, but the shipment only reached 99.8 percent.

Then, the governor's and deputy governor's ballots have been produced 100 percent, followed by delivery and receipts ranging from 97 percent.

Meanwhile, ballots for the election of regents, deputy regents, mayors and deputy mayors have reached 99.19 percent of the procurement, and delivery has reached 99 percent.

"The list of candidate pairs has reached 92 percent, new shipments are 77 percent," he said.

The procurement of visually impaired aids reached 97 percent, while delivery was 70 percent.

"Sampul et al. itu sudah 100 persen, form juga sudah tersama di atas 90 persen," jelas Afifuddin.

The simultaneous regional elections in 2024 will be attended by 37 provinces, 415 regencies, and 93 cities.

The total pair of candidates who will compete in the Simultaneous Pilkada reached 1,557 pairs of candidates, consisting of 1,169 pairs of candidates for regent and deputy regent as well as 285 pairs of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor.

The following is the schedule for the 2024 Pilkada:

1. On 27 February 16 November 2024: Notification and registration of election monitoring;

2. On April 24 May 31, 2024: Submission of a list of potential voters;

3. On May 5, August 19, 2024: Fulfillment of the requirements for support for individual candidate pairs;

4. On May 31, September 23, 2024: Updating and drafting of the voter list;

5. On August 24, 2024: Announcement of registration of candidate pairs;

6. On 27'29 August 2024: Candidate registration;

7. On 27 August 21 September 2024: Research on candidate requirements;

8. On September 22, 2024: Determination of candidate pairs;

9. On September 25, November 23, 2024: Campaign implementation;

10. On 27 November 2024: Implementation of voting; and

11. On 27 November December 16, 2024: Counting of votes and recapitulation of vote count results.
