Trapped In Fire, A Family In Tanjung Priok Burned To Death

JAKARTA - Four people died as a result of a fire on Jalan Papanggo 3 B, Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, Friday morning, at around 01.41 WIB.

The fire emerged from one of the houses and then spread to the rented house next to it. But unfortunately, the victim could not save himself from being surrounded by fire.

Head of the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Isnawa Adji said the four victims were in a room. They were trapped because the fire was so big, even though they had tried to jump out of the house.

"The position of the four victims is in one room, trying to jump out," said Isnawa, ANTARA, Friday, November 8.

According to him, the fire scorched a residential house inhabited by four people and two rented houses where 15 people lived.

Four victims were identified, namely Sahril Maulana (40), Yuliani (35), Stepi (8), and Alfat (3). The fire was extinguished at 03.34 WIB.
