JAKARTA - The military's MI-17 helicopter which made an emergency landing at a rice field in Blora Regency, Central Java, Saturday, has returned to fly after it was repaired.

Dandim 0721/Blora, Lt. Col. Yuli Hartanto, said MI-17 could be repaired after the replacement of damaged parts.

"The replacement spare parts are transported using Bell 412 helicopters," he said, quoted by Antara.

According to him, repairs take about four hours.

After being repaired, he continued, MI-17 flew back to the 31st Semarang Air Squadron.

"Saturday afternoon the MI-17 helicopter has taken off to fly back to Semarang," he said.

Previously, a helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army landed an emergency in a rice field area in Randublatung, Blora Regency, Saturday.

The helicopter carrying the 10 personnel was conducting flight exercises from Surabaya to Semarang.

There were no casualties in the emergency landing incident.
