The Supreme Court's Reason For Forming The Supreme Audit Team Of The Cassation Council Ronald Tannur

JAKARTA - The Supreme Court (MA) formed an examination team to clarify the cassation panel in the case of defendant Gregorius Ronald Tannur.

The formation was referred to as a follow-up to the statement of the suspect Zarof Ricar who had contacted one of the judges at the cassation panel.

"According to the Attorney General's Office, (Zarof Ricar) has contacted one of the panel of judges with the initials S. Therefore, of course we will follow up," said the spokesman for the Supreme Court, Yanto, to reporters, Monday, October 28.

However, it was not clearly stated whether the entire cassation panel would be clarified or only the Supreme Court judge with the initials S.

It is known, there are three Supreme Court justices who are the cassation panel of the defendant Ronald Tannur.

"Yes, the statement at the Attorney General's Office is of course the panel that handles Ronald Tannur's cassation that we will examine," said Yanto.

Meanwhile, the formation of the examination team was also the result of an agreement from the Supreme Court leadership meeting which was held today.

The examination team will be chaired by Supreme Court Justice Dwiarso Budi Santiarto with Jupriyadi and Nor Ediyono who are the Secretary of the Supreme Court Supervisory Agency.

For information, in the cassation trial, the panel of judges revoked the acquittal of defendant Ronald Tannur. The son of a former member of the DPR from the PKB faction, Edward Tannur, was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
