MATARAM - Police officers in the Youth, Children, and Women Sector (Renakta) Ditreskrimum Polda West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) uncovered allegations of prostitution in the city of Mataram.

"The disclosure of the practice of prostitution was carried out by arresting a woman with the initials CT (25) with the alleged role of being a pimp," said Baiq Dewi in Mataram as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 6.

During the arrests at the hotel, there were a number of pieces of evidence that corroborated the allegation of prostitution.

Among other things, condom contraceptives, lubricants, cash, and various types of sexy clothes. The woman from East Jakarta CT, he said, is still a student majoring in dental nursing at a university in Jakarta.

The results of the police investigation showed that CT was suspected of carrying out prostitution under the guise of a hotel guest in the city of Mataram. The mode is to stay at a hotel, CT offers itself with two victims of prostitution to customers.

"So she (CT) is the mother who provided herself and also the victim to be invited to have sex. The mode is by renting a room, so there is no suspicion from the hotel," he also said.

During his five days of activities at the hotel, Baiq Dewi said that CT together with two prostitution victims had served at least 37 guests.

"He earned Rp33 million in five days of income. In a day, one person can serve five customers," he said again.

Then for the rates offered, he also said, it is quite diverse depending on the time of service that the customer wants. The rates start from IDR 500 thousand to the most expensive IDR 1.6 million.

Furthermore, the police are still conducting investigations on CT and also the two victims of prostitution. However, from the disclosure of this case, CT, who is suspected of playing the role of pimps, is threatened with one year and four months imprisonment as stipulated in the Criminal Code on prostitution.
