Banggar DPR believes Prabowonomics can make Indonesia a new economic power in Asia

JAKARTA - Member of the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sukamta highlighted the Prabowonomics policy promoted by President Prabowo Subianto to increase economic growth by up to 8%. According to him, the policy is a bold and visionary step.

"We see Prabowonomics as a bold and visionary policy. This is the right step to encourage higher economic growth," Sukamta said, Thursday, October 24.

For information, Prabowonomics focuses on economic development based on food sovereignty, energy, and increasing national industrial competitiveness. Prabowonomics' economic policy targets economic growth of 8% and the elimination of absolute poverty with a focus on investment, exports, as well as the development of strategic sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and technology.

Sukamta is optimistic that the policy implemented by Prabowo can achieve the expected economic target.

"This policy will strengthen key sectors, and ultimately improve the welfare of all Indonesian people," said the member of the council who is also assigned to Commission I of the DPR RI.

Prabowonomics is an economic policy approach that Prabowo Subianto carries, especially in his economic vision for Indonesia. Since the campaign period, Prabowo has emphasized national independence and the need to strengthen domestic strategic sectors.

"This policy shows that the government is serious about bringing Indonesia to a brighter and more prosperous future," said Sukamta.

The legislator from the DI Yogyakarta electoral district also assessed that there are several strong aspects of the Prabowonomics policy which are believed to strengthen the future of the Indonesian economy. One of them, according to Sukamta, is the strong collaboration between the government and the private sector as a strategic step that allows various sectors to develop faster.

"This collaboration not only accelerates infrastructure development, but also strengthens business ecosystems throughout Indonesia, from big cities to remote villages," he explained.

Sukamta conveyed the second aspect of increasing investment, especially from the private sector and foreign investors. According to him, the strategy to increase investment in Prabowonomics, especially from the private sector and foreign investors, shows the government's commitment to creating a conducive business climate.

"Investment is an economic driving force, and with investment-friendly policies, we can accelerate growth and open up more jobs," said Sukamta.

Sukamta emphasized the importance of support from all parties for Prabowo's government programs, so that an ambitious 8% economic growth target can be achieved.

With the right strategy and consistent policy support, this is a target that can be achieved. 8% growth will signal a new era of Indonesia's economic revival, with stronger competitiveness in the global market," he explained.

Furthermore, Sukamta assessed that Prabowonomics' policy to eliminate absolute poverty is also a new hope for the community and the business world. He also said this effort shows the government's commitment not to leave anyone behind.

"With structured programs, such as job creation, social assistance, and the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), I am increasingly optimistic that the government can achieve the target," said Sukamta.

Even so, Sukamta reminded the need for good cross-sectoral coordination, synergy between the government and the private sector, as well as full support from the community.

I believe we can achieve strong and sustainable growth. Because this is not only about numbers, but about how we build a better, more prosperous, and more competitive Indonesia," he explained.

Through Prabowo's vision, Sukamta hopes that Indonesia will not only be able to overcome global economic challenges.

"But Indonesia can also become a new economic force in Asia," said Sukamta.

"This is the time for us to work together to move the wheels of the economy with a spirit of optimism and confidence that Indonesia's future will be very bright," he concluded.
