Ministers Participate In Releasing Jokowi To Return To Solo At Halim Airport

JAKARTA - A number of ministers from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet are planned to participate in releasing the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to leave for Solo, Central Java, at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta, after completing their duties as president on Sunday afternoon.

"The ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet plan to participate in releasing Pak Jokowi's departure to Solo at Halim Airport this afternoon," said Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi in a written message received in Jakarta, Sunday.

Hasan explained that the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto will also escort Joko Widodo from the Jakarta Presidential Palace to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

Joko Widodo will also not use a commercial plane to his hometown in Solo, Central Java, as previously reported. Joko Widodo is planned to be released from his departure to Solo with respect.

"Later he will return to Solo using an Indonesian Air Force aircraft. The 7th President will be released with full honor," said Hasan Nasbi.

In line with that, Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra also confirmed this.

"No, neither Garuda nor Citilink," said Irfan.

President Jokowi, reportedly by the General Chair of Pro Jokowi Volunteers (ProJo) as well as the Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, will depart from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta, to Solo. Jokowi's flight is scheduled for Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 15.00 WIB.
