Palace: State Guests Start Coming On Saturday Tomorrow

Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono conveyed that state guests who will attend the inauguration of the elected president and vice president will begin arriving in the country on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

This was conveyed by Heru at the Presidential Palace when explaining the readiness to change president and vice president at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday, October 18.

"On the 19th (October), based on information, state guests have started arriving, namely state guests and friends and of course there are special invitations from Mr. President Prabowo, where on 19 there are two locations for state guests arriving in Indonesia or Jakarta, namely Halim (Prianakusuma) and Soekarno Hatta," Heru said as quoted by Antara.

He said state guests who confirmed were present from 20 countries plus one UN envoy and there would be 13 special representatives of the head of state. "We have prepared this together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the ranks of the Indonesian Air Force and Halim Air Base, also together with Soetta Airport," said Heru.

According to Heru, there will be a process of accepting heads of state arriving at Halim Perdanakusuma and Soekarno-Hatta Airports.

The Palace has also prepared hotels for the heads of state well.

Heru has also asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to be able to broadcast the arrival of state guests through videotrons in all areas of DKI Jakarta.

Furthermore, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will eliminate motorized vehicle free days and will replace them with the people's entertainment stage along the road that the elected president and vice president will pass from the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

"We have asked the provincial government to replace it with people's entertainment. We have prepared approximately 13 points together with BUMN, together with DKI Jakarta BUMD so that people can come to celebrate the inauguration of the President (Prabowo)," he explained.

People's entertainment will be held starting from Ratu Plaza, Senayan, to the Horse Statue, Jakarta.

"For example, the point is in FX Sudirman, gate area 7 GBK, it's at MRT station, it's at Graha BNI, it's in horse statue, and it's around BRI's head office," he explained.

Heru hopes that building owners in the Sudirman-Thamrin area can also mobilize their employees to be able to welcome the pads on October 20 event around Sudirman-Thamrin.

After the farewell ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Sunday (20/10) night some state guests will be visited by the elected president.
