Anies And Ganjar Confirmed To Attend Prabowo's Inauguration As President Of The Republic Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - Candidates for presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo are confirmed to attend the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building on Sunday, October 20.

MPR RI chairman Ahmad Muzani revealed that the two were willing to see Prabowo Subianto inaugurated as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia. This has also been confirmed by Anies and Ganjar.

"Mr. Anies, Mr. Ganjar, thank God, God, I was here. I had contact last night, Mas Ganjar conveyed his presence, Mas Anies also conveyed his presence," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 16.

Nevertheless, Muzani said that the MPR leadership had not been able to confirm the presence of vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election, Muhaimin Iskandar and Mahfud MD.

"I can't contact (Mahfud) yet, nor can Mas Muhaimin. But Mas Ganjar and Mas Anies, we have been in contact, thank God (will attend)," said the Secretary General of Gerindra.

Today the MPR leadership will continue the roadshow to send invitations to the residences of former Vice President Try Sutrisno and Jusuf Kalla.

"Yes, today we will deliver the inauguration invitation to Mr. Try Sutrisno, we hope that he as vice president can attend the upcoming Presidential and Vice Presidential inauguration ceremony on October 20," said Muzani.

Meanwhile, the invitation to former President Megawati Soekarnoputri and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will be delivered by the leadership of the MPR tomorrow. Currently, said Muzani, the MPR leadership is waiting for the willingness of the two nation's leaders to be visited.

"(SBY) Maybe tomorrow, because there are several activities that have been planned. (Mega) Yes, it is also being planned, maybe tomorrow," he concluded.

On the other hand, former Vice Presidential Candidate number 03 Mahfud MD as well as Professor of Constitutional Law Mahfud MD, confirmed that the invitation to the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024-2029 had been accepted. Mahfud ensured that he would come because it was an important agenda for the Republic of Indonesia.

"Oh yes, I was invited, I will attend, of course, because this is a country, this country is not a matter of group politics, individual politics," Mahfud said in the Open Mahfud MD podcast on the Mahfud MD Official YouTube channel, quoted Wednesday, October 15.

Mahfud, who ran for the 2024 presidential election with Ganjar Pranowo, reminded that every citizen of course has an obligation to respect the important state agendas. One of these agendas is none other than the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Everything must be, if the state has an event, it must be respected, I want to come," said the former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam).

Regarding his arrival at the MPR RI Building, Mahfud revealed, he will most likely come with Ganjar Pranowo, the former Governor of Central Java who is his presidential candidate pair in the 2024 presidential election. According to Mahfud, the plan is being coordinated by his team and a team from Ganjar.
