PKS Faction In DPR Issues Instructions To Cut Members' Salaries, Donation For Flood Victims In NTB-NTT

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKS DPR Faction, Jazuli Juwaini, issued an instruction to all its members to set aside board salaries to help victims of flash floods and landslides in East Flores, NTT, and Bima, NTB. This is because the disaster in the region has resulted in damage to casualties.

"The PKS faction is again called upon to help our brothers in East Flores, NTT and Bima, NTB. Hopefully, it will be resolved well soon", said Jazuli, Monday, April 5.

This member of Commission I of the DPR also invited all components of the nation to send assistance in any form according to their capacities and abilities regardless of race, ethnicity, and religion.

"We, brothers and sisters of the same nation, must show national solidarity so that our brothers there will be lighter in burden", said the legislator for the Banten electoral district.

For information, from the updated data at 14.00 WIB, the death toll from natural disasters of floods and landslides in several districts, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has increased to 68 people. The victims who died came from 4 districts.

The 68 people who died consisted of 44 people in East Flores Regency, 11 in Lembata Regency, 2 in Ende Regency, and 11 in Alor Regency. Meanwhile, 15 people were injured, with details of 9 in East Flores, 1 in Ngada Regency, and 5 in Alor Regency.

Meanwhile, 70 people disappeared, namely 26 in East Flores, 16 in Lembata Regency, and 28 in Alor Regency.

BNPB (National Agency for Disaster Management) also noted that there were 938 families or 2,655 people affected by the disaster. BNPB is still recording the number of victims.

Material losses, 25 houses severely damaged, 114 housing units moderately damaged, 17 housing units washed away, 60 housing units submerged, 743 housing units affected, 40 road access points covered by fallen trees, 5 broken bridges, 1 public facility affected, and 1 ship sunk.

Meanwhile, the flood in Bima was reported that 2 residents died and it was recorded that 9,245 families or 27,808 people were affected.
