Dutch WN Women In Bali Pretending To Be Hotel Guests For Free Breakfast

A woman from a foreign national (WNA) from the Netherlands, with the initials MA (35) was deported from Bali for immigration offenses by pretending to be a hotel guest to get a free breakfast.

Head of Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim), Gede Dudy Duwita, said the foreigner was proven to have violated Article 75, Paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

"That foreigners who carry out dangerous activities or do not respect laws and regulations can be subject to immigration administrative action, namely deportation," said Dudy, Wednesday, October 9.

These foreigners have lived in Bali since March 2022 and first entered Indonesia on a tourist visa.

MA lives alone in a rental villa in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, for a rental fee of IDR 300 thousand per day.

However, on September 13, 2024, MA visited a well-known hotel in the Nusa Dua area to find breakfast. From her statement, this woman pretended to be a hotel guest to enjoy breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

However, after eating, the security forces stopped him and asked the Supreme Court to pay for not being registered as a guest.

The hotel manager gave the Supreme Court the option to pay or report his actions to the authorities. Because at that time the Supreme Court did not have enough money remaining only Rp. 300 thousand, he was handed over to the police.

In addition, while in Bali, the Supreme Court, which does not have a job, relies on a monthly allowance of 1,400 euros from the Dutch government because it is registered as an allowance recipient due to a health condition disorder.

This female Caucasian was then deported to the Netherlands under strict supervision by Denpasar Rudenim officers, Tuesday, October 8.

"We continue to strive to maintain security and order and ensure that the deportation process runs according to procedures. We urge all foreigners living in Indonesia to always comply with applicable laws and regulations to avoid legal problems," he said.
