DPR Housing Allowance 2024-2029 Can Achieve A Figure Above IDR 70 Million Per Month

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar, said that the DPR housing allowance for the period 2024-2029 could reach more than IDR 70 million per month. This figure refers to housing allowances in the Jakarta DPRD of IDR 70.4 million.

According to Indra, the DPR's housing allowance is likely above the number of housing allowances for the Jakarta DPRD.

"Referring to several DPRDs, the average amount is above Rp. 35 million above Rp. 40 million, yes, DPRD. That's in the regions, the price of the logic property in the regions and DKI must be different (Rp. 70 million)," said Indra at the House of Representatives (RJA) House of Representatives (RJA) in Kalibata, Pancoran, Jakarta, Monday 7 October.

It's just that, said Indra, his party is still surveying the average house rental price in Jakarta, especially the Senayan, Semanggi, and Kebayoran areas. The DPR secretary general, he said, involved independent consultants to determine the appraisal or the process of estimating house prices before buying, selling, or auctioning.

"We use an appraisal consultant for that, that basis will make us finalize what we will report to the board's equipment called BURT after it is formed," said Indra.

Indra emphasized that housing allowances are more efficient than housing facilities for DPR members. Moreover, he said, the condition of the house of office of DPR members is already many who are unfit for habitation and require great energy to revitalize the office house.

"If repairs are made, of course, the repairs mentioned by the repair of the entire roof and the structure must be demolished. This was done in 2008 and 2010 and it had no effect, it turned out that the structure was partially (the house of office of a member of the DPR), the cracks in the structure were very serious and massive and it couldn't be repaired by just closing it, but indeed the structure had to be repaired," concluded Indra.
