Hashim Says Prabowo Waits 2 Years To Meet Megawati, Puan: Just Calculate The Day

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani responded to the statement by the Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Board of Trustees, who said that President-elect Prabowo Subianto had waited two years to meet PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Puan emphasized that the meeting between Megawati and Prabowo is now just a matter of days.

"Yes, (staying) waiting for the day, counting the days," said Puan, Wednesday, October 2.

However, Puan was reluctant to divulge further about the plan to meet her mother and Prabowo. The chairman of the two-term DPR also asked all parties to wait.

Puan said Megawati would directly welcome Prabowo's arrival at the meeting. About the place, he said, the location is comfortable.

"Yes, not waiting to meet. We will meet together. (Meeting) at a fun location," concluded the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives who was re-elected in the 2024-2029 period.

Previously, the Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, talked about the plan to meet the elected President, Prabowo Subianto with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Prabowo's younger brother said his brother was waiting for the moment of the meeting with his former partner in the 2009 presidential election for two years.

"Mr. Prabowo has been waiting for two years, two years," said Hasyim, Tuesday, October 1.

Meanwhile, the elected President for the 2024-2029 period Prabowo Subianto has signaled that his meeting with Megawati will definitely take place.

"God willing," said Prabowo.

Prabowo hopes that a meeting with Megawati can be held before he is inaugurated as President on October 20, 2024.

"Hopefully before the inauguration," he said.
