JAKARTA - Chairman of the MPR and Advisory Council of the Indonesian Shooting and Hunting Association (PB Perbakin) Bambang Soesatyo, asked the police to take action against those who made fake Perbakin Membership Cards (KTA).
He also urged various marketplaces to block accounts that sell KTA Perbakin services. The reason is, the act of selling these services includes acts of fraud as well as forgery.
According to Bamsoet, no party was harmed because of the misuse of fake KTA. Moreover, the seller has set a high price, between Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 500 thousand.
"It's not that easy to get KTA Perbakin. Each Perbakin KTA is issued by the Perbakin institution, not traded through the marketplace," said Bamsoet in Jakarta, Thursday, April 1.
Bamsoet said the three types of KTA Perbakin, namely KTA Tembak Target (TS) are intended for members of the target shooter with the type of air rifle, as well as athletes who shoot the air rifles. KTA Hunting (B), is specifically for members who are proficient in using long-barreled firearms in hunting activities.
As well as KTA Tembak Reaksi (TR), for members who are proficient in reaction shooting activities using short or long-barreled firearms.
"There is a difference between KTA Shooting Club and KTA Perbakin. A person who owns a KTA Club does not automatically make himself a member of Perbakin. There is a long process to go through if he wants to get KTA Perbakin," explained Bamsoet.
The General Chairperson of the Association for Owners of Special Self-Defense Firearms (Periksha) also explained, the long process for someone to get KTA Perbakin begins by first obtaining a recommendation letter from the shooting club under Perbakin. As well as getting recommendations from at least 2 active PB Perbakin managers.
"For candidate members of the Target Shooting Field (TS), the person concerned must be active as a shooting athlete. At least he has participated in a championship at the provincial level which is marked by attaching the match results. Or the person concerned is a member of PB Perbakin, Pengprov / Pengkab Pengkot or Club by attaching a decree Management, "explained Bamsoet.
For prospective members of the Hunting Field (B), he or she must attend basic hunting training as proven by attaching a photocopy of the Basic Hunting Training / Training Certificate
Meanwhile, candidates for Reaction Shoot Training (TR), concerned have participated in Reaction Shoot Training as evidenced by attaching a photocopy of Reaction Shoot Training Certificate.
"Various upgrades that must be followed by the prospective KTA Perbakin types of TS, TR, and B, are not easy. To ensure that everyone who receives the KTA has tested their shooting skills to mental readiness," said Bamsoet.
