A Total Of 109 Houses In Garut Were Qualified By BNPB Damaged Due To The Earthquake

GARUT - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Garut Regency Government, West Java, Nurdin Yana said, out of 1,623 houses only 109 houses were qualified by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) which was damaged by the earthquake and would receive repair assistance.

"From the results of the initial data collection, there were actually 109 who were eligible as required by BNPB," said Nurdin Yana during an earthquake disaster management meeting at the Pasirwangi District Office Emergency Management Post, Garut, Antara, Wednesday, September 25.

He said a meeting involving a number of related agencies, especially from the Garut BPBD, discussed the results of verification of residents' houses and public facilities affected by the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 on Wednesday (18/9).

The results of verification in the field, said Nurdin, based on the BNPB calculation, there were only 109 houses with the category of lightly damaged as many as 79 houses, and moderately damaged as many as 30 houses.

"This means that 79 are categorized as lightly damaged, and 30 are categorized as moderately damaged, meaning that it is like that, so we can predict that today is actually the one who has the right to get'supporting' from us, which is approximately 109 families," he said.

He conveyed that the house, which was qualified by BNPB, was a community that fled independently, and also occupied tents provided by the government because the house was damaged by the earthquake.

"Today's refugees, both independent and those in the tents, are categorized as the results of the BNPB data collection, namely 109 families, meaning 'clear' problems, that's what they get," he said.

However, conditions in the field, he said, were indeed affected by earthquake shocks, but the level of damage was not light, let alone moderate.

The condition of the residents' houses outside 109 houses, he said, was based on the calculations required by the BNPB to enter the damage very lightly, so that it did not qualify for the BNPB which would disburse repair assistance.

"If you look at the distribution, based on the initial information from fellow verifiers, they are actually categorized as sorry, yes, maybe very light," he said.

He said that the houses of residents who were not included in the BNPB data did not mean that they did not get the government's attention, the remaining 1,514 houses would be proposed to be given assistance by the Garut Regency Government.

In addition, he said, as many as 22 public and social facilities have also been inventoried and will get improvements, for that his party will immediately prepare a Budget Plan (RAB) for the improvement of the facility.

"Hopefully all the needs, all the things that are the tasks of each SKPD have been covered, have been described, and have been resolved, to then present a solution like what," said Nurdin.
