Public Enthusiasm Takes A Selfie With Army Chief Of Staff Maruli Simanjuntak At Matra Fair

Jakarta, Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak attracted the attention of the public when participating in the TNI Commander Fun Run at Matra Fair, Jakarta, on Sunday, September 22. After traveling 10 kilometers along with about 8,000 other participants, General Maruli took a moment to take pictures with residents, showing his closeness to the community.

The enthusiasm of the citizens was unstoppable after the race. They jostle to take a selfie with this Army leader, creating a warm moment that describes the close relationship between the TNI and the people. This familiar atmosphere shows how much people appreciate the presence of the Army Chief of Staff in the event.

Matra Fair, themed "The Modern TNI with the People Ready to Guard the Succession of National Leadership for Advanced Indonesia," featured various interesting attractions. From defense equipment exhibitions to free health services, all designed to bring the TNI closer to the community. Traditional tactical martial arts and dances such as Poco-Poco, Maumere, Sajojo, and Yoswan also managed to invite thousands of visitors.

The excitement of the event is increasing with the presence of Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who came with his grandchildren, Jan Ethes and La Lembah, using golfcars to inspect the exhibition area. Accompanied by the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, and the Chief of Staff of the Force, the President enjoyed a lively atmosphere with thousands of residents.

Closing his visit, Army Chief of Staff Maruli accompanied the TNI Commander in a video conference with TNI units in various regions that participated in the Matra Fair exhibition. On this occasion, the TNI Commander expressed his gratitude to all Kotama and TNI units, as well as to appreciate the people who have participated in celebrating the 79th Anniversary of the TNI.
