Rizieq's Lawyer Does Not Know About The Makassar Terrorist Suspect Of Taking Allegiance At The FPI Headquarters

JAKARTA - The former Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) legal aid adviser who is also Rizieq Shihab's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, admitted that he did not know anything about the terrorist suspect with the US alias AR taking allegiance at the FPI Headquarters. He emphasized that FPI has disbanded.

"I don't know, FPI has disbanded," Aziz told reporters, Tuesday, March 30.

Aziz was also reluctant to comment when asked about developments in the handling of terrorists by the Police, including the matter of allegiance at the FPI Headquarters. Aziz emphasized that he did not know Basri, who is a religious figure who led the allegiance of the terrorist suspect who was arrested in Makassar.

"So I don't want to comment on that. (About Basri) I don't know," he said.

7 Terrorist Suspects Arrested in Makassar

A total of 7 terrorist suspects were arrested in Makassar, South Sulawesi. There are suspects who took allegiance at the FPI Headquarters.

"So for the time being the development in Makassar, 7 people are in the process of investigation, then 2 people died (suicide bombers at the Cathedral, ed). So the total is temporary 9 (people), meaning that the update will add 3 suspects, "said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Tuesday, March 30.

The perpetrators of the suicide bombing at the Makassar Cathedral church on Sunday, March 28 were a man with the initials L and his wife with the initials YSF alias D. From the Makassar bomb case, Densus 88 Anti-terror Polri moved to make arrests.

Seven terrorist suspects arrested in Makassar, namely the initials AS alias AR, SAS, MR, AA, R alias M, AN, MM.

"AS aka AR, its role is to participate in planning, follow studies at Villa Mutiara (Biringkanaya Makassar, red), then has pledged allegiance at FPI headquarters which is the now-forbidden organization headquarters," said Kombes Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, suspect R alias M participated in conducting a survey to the location of the bomb target of the Cathedral church with the suicide bombers L and YSF alias D.

"This means that the point of committing the suicide amaliyah action has been planned," he continued.
