Chronology Of Private Plane Charter Money, Juliari's Request?

JAKARTA - KPK prosecutors continue to investigate the flow of bribes for the defendant Harry Van Sidabukke in the alleged corruption case in the provision of social assistance (Bansos) COVID-19 in Jabodetabek.

This is because during the trial there was money to rent a private plane used by former Social Minister Juliari. Reportedly, the luxury facility was taken from vendor deposits related to the procurement of social assistance.

During the trial, the prosecutor asked witness Sanjaya who was the driver of the former Ministry of Social Commitment Making Officer (PPK), Matheus Joko Santoso or Joko.

Initially, witness Sanjaya admitted that he had transferred 40 million rupiah to Juliari's aide, Eko Budi Santoso. The money was from Joko.

"Mr. (Joko) once asked me to transfer from your own account, make it into the account of the minister's adjutant. You ordered me yourself," said Sanjaya at the Corruption Court.

The prosecutor was not satisfied. Then, the prosecutor also asked the witness whether there was any further money transfer to Juliari through his aide other than 40 million rupiah.

"Apart from giving the money earlier, did Mr. Joko give money to the minister?" asked the prosecutor.

"I have heard and escorted you that morning to Halim Perdana Kusuma airport. You told me that the money was 2 billion and met Mr. Adi," added Sanjaya.

Adi Wahyono or Adi is a commitment-making official (PPK) at the Ministry of Social Affairs and also holds the status of a suspect.

"Bring money for Mr. Adi at Halim airport? Money for what he said?" said the Prosecutor.

"I don't know what the money is for, sir. If Mr. Joko said the story is for the plane rental. Dollar seems like sir," said Sanjaya.

However, Sanjaya admitted that he did not see the handover of the money from the suspect Joko to Adi.

"Was there a ministerial trip at that time? Was there a charter for the plane used by the Ministry of Social Affairs?" the prosecutor said.

Sanjaya admitted that he didn't know. What is clear at that time, he only escorted Joko. Likewise, the question of who ordered Joko to deliver the money to Halim airport.

"I don't know sir, I only took Pak Joko," said Sanjaya.

"Did you know at that time there was a private jet charter to Semarang, Kendal?" asked the prosecutor again.

"I don't know about the plane charter, Sir," added Sanjaya.

The prosecutor also investigated the issue of whether or not there was money other than the 2 billion that was given at that time.

"For example, for the needs in Lampung, Bali?" asked the prosecutor.

"I don't know, sir," said Sanjaya.

Juliari's confession

At the previous trial, the former Social Minister Juliari admitted that he had used a private plane during his work visit. However, Juliari firmly admits that she does not know the origin of the usual money that Adi uses to pay for the plane rental fee.

Moreover, said Juliari, as far as he remembered the matter of renting planes for the purpose of working visits had been carried out by previous ministers.

"As far as I can remember, there was a report from my subordinate. I don't remember the minister. Yes, I don't remember exactly that, but I did," said Juliari.

Meanwhile, the personal secretary of former Minister of Social Juliari, Selvy Nurbaety, explained the process of renting and paying for the private jet used by Juliari for work visits. According to him, all costs are left to the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"The average is for work visits, sir," said Selvy.

Selvy testified for the trial of Harry Van Sidabukke, who was charged with bribing former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara for Rp 1.28 billion. Bribes were given by Harry for getting the work on a basic food procurement project related to the handling of the COVID-19 Virus pandemic for the Jabodetabek area.

The prosecutor said, Harry Sidabukke bribed Juliari because Harry got 1,519,256 food packages through PT Pertani (Persero) and through PT Mandala Hamonangan Sude.

The prosecutor said that the bribes were not only aimed at Social Minister Juliari, but also for Adi Wahyono and Matheus Joko Santoso as Commitment Making Officials (PPK) for the procurement of social assistance goods / services for Covid-19 at the Directorate of Social Protection for Social Disaster Victims of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
