LSI Calls Saepul Bahri Binzein's Electability Superior In Purwakarta, Awakening To Dedi Mulyadi's Factors

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Network Denny JA published the latest survey results regarding the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in the Purwakarta Regency, West Java. As a result, Saepul Bahri Binzein is superior to other potential regents.

"From the previous three months (June 2024) survey, Om Zein, who was still 27.7 percent below Anne Ratna Mustika with 32.7 percent, has now shot to 46.1 percent. Meanwhile, Anne Ratna, who previously led, has fallen free to 29.3 percent," said the Executive Director of Citra Komunikasi LSI, Toto Izul Fatah in his statement, Wednesday, September 11.

In the simulation of the couple, Saepul Bahri Binzein-Abang Ijo Hapidin is also said to have high electability. In fact, the percentage difference is quite far from other couples.

It was detailed that Saepul Bahri Binzein-Abang Ijo Hapidin got 53.4 percent. Then, Anne Ratna Mustika-Budi Hermawan 25.2 percent, Yadi Rusmayadi-Pipin Sopian 15.2 percent, and Zainal Arifin-Sona Maulida 4.1 percent.

"From LSI Denny JA's latest data, I must convey, if there is no political tsunami, the Om Zein-Abang Ijo pair has the potential to win the contest in the Purwakarta Pilkada next November," he said.

"The Om Zein-Abang Ijo duet is very big because it has an upward trend from the previous survey. On the other hand, the main competitor, the Anne Ratna-Budi Hermawan pair has a downward trend," Toto continued.

According to him, Saepul Bahri Binzein-Abang Ijo Hapidin's increase in electability was due to three factors that affected him.

First, there was a massive movement carried out by the Saepul Bahri Binzein-Abang pair, Ijo Hapidin, through a program that touched the community.

Then, the figure factor of Saepul Bahri Binzein who is perceived as a simple, caring and populist individual. Finally, there is a factor in the influence of support from Dedi Mulyadi.

The support factor from Dedi Mulyadi is said to be the most significant. This is because his figure is still considered a legendary figure in Purwakarta.

"It is difficult to argue that Dedi Mulyadi's total support for Om Zein is very influential. Moreover, as illustrated by various public space attributes, Kang Dedi always appears behind Om Zein. Not to mention through the socialization carried out directly by DM," said Toto.

Meanwhile, the survey was conducted from 3 to 7 September 2024 using the multistage random sampling standard method. The number of respondents was 440 through face-to-face interviews with a margin of error of 4.8 percent.
